Letter to the Art Institute
Check out this hilarious letter exchange with my museum!! I'm sure the staff who received this much have had a good laugh, I know I did. Also, let's hope that all of our Picassos are safe and sound :)! HAPPY FRIDAY!

ReplyDeleteXo,Marlene
So amusing but a total hoax - there's no Richard Elsworth of staff and that's not our letterhead (thank goodness!)
ReplyDeleteI KNEW IT!! I had a feeling Richard Elsworth was a fake - but the faux letterhead was a really nice touch. I love the internet for creating such whacky things.
DeleteArthur needs to check out my Art Institute collection, "Stolen Artworks" http://www.artic.edu/aic/collections/my/stolen-artworks/17150
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! How did you figure out that all of these were stolen??
DeleteAlso - we figured out who whipped up these fake letters. It was Art on Track.
