75% of the world is composed of water, but of that gigantic amount, only 2.75% of it is freshwater, and some of that freshwater isn't the most liquid asset - literally, it's frozen in glaciers. But I happen to live in a part of the world where freshwater is in abundance. Where I take showers daily, guilt free. Where I can put my cup up to a faucet, then put that cup to my lips without worry of contaminants. Where I can turn on my shower, and expect hot water. Water is such a hot commodity, and I know that I take it for granted. I don't finish what's in my cup, I love taking baths, I take long showers - and what's worse is that I assume that I am entitled to all of these things. I will admit that have become better about not buying bottled water, but there is so much I can do to lessen my impact on the planet, starting with my relationship to good old H2O.
I am unbelievably grateful for freshwater!! Without it, I wouldn't exist!! Cheers!
