In 2008 I voted absentee for Obama from my bedroom in Florence, Italy. On November 6, we stayed up until 4 in the morning in a hotel room along the Arno river waiting for the poll results to come in, and we partied for days and days to come. This election things are a bit different. I woke up at 6 this morning to hit my neighborhood polling place as soon as it opened. I filled in my boxes manually and I exercised one of my most important rights as an American citizen. Folks, if you haven't already voted, get out there and do it!
I am grateful for my right to vote!!!
