25th Birthday Bonanza

I am having a terrible time grasping the fact that today is the last day of April, bringing a conclusion to the epic time that I like to refer to as "Birthday Month" (you feel me, Emma). First and foremost, thank you to everyone who made me feel like an absolute goddess - you are all my heroes. Letting me have not one, but five birthday celebrations was a little bit too kind, and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart (I see you Dad and Andrew).

To be blunt - 24 was a really strange year for me, but I feel as though I went out with a bang. In the last year so many crazy life changes have happened - every single person in my family is living somewhere new, I have made a handful of new fabulous friends, I have a new bro in my life, AND I learned to like football (thanks FNL). But seriously, 25, a new year, a new me. Let's do this.

As for my never-ending month of birthday festivities, here are some photos I snapped of the various things I did. Again, let me reiterate how completely spoiled I am by some wonderful people in my life. Thanks for the flowers, the treats, the trip, the lunches, the parties, the dinner, the Bulls game, the sushi, the beers, the presents, the karaoke, the laughter, and everything in between. You magical people know who you are, and I promise to make you feel just as special on your day/week/month.

Weekend Diptych

Two photos to sandwich a weekend full of sunshine, shopping, hot dogs, and drinking. While I will say I enjoyed my weekend, it wasn't without fits and starts. I managed to pack in eating plenty of $1 oysters, visiting three galleries in the West Loop, running into a handful of friends,  perusing two different major sales in the city, as well cleaning my funky apartment, and making a delicious homecooked Sunday dinner. Also squeezed in reading some of my gigantic FLW biography (page count: 21/564).

Operation: Get Emma to Renegade Craft Fair

Everyone, I'm going to put on my best Ira Glass cap and shamelessly promote my dear friend Emma Marie. She is a painter of cats & dogs, as well as my dear friend, and meat chip enthusiast. She just started a Kickstarter (beautifully named Operation: Renegade Cats & Dogs) to apply for a stand at Renegade Craft Fair this coming fall. She needs $900, also her birthday is Saturday. Help make Emma's dreams come true, and watch this super duper charming video. KTHX. <3

Bill Murray In "Lost In Translation"

SPOILER ALERT: I am kind of a klutz.

If you didn't already know that about me, then you probably haven't spent much time with me IRL. I have absolutely no center of gravity, my legs are perpetually covered in bruises, I am prone to spilling things, and I sometimes/always burn myself on something while cooking. But that said, I truly believe in letting your freak flag fly. Today in the land of public mortification, I did something truly terrible. Feeling sluggish, I took my lazy tired self to the gym way too early, hopped on the elliptical machine, turned on Katy Perry way too loud, then immediately got entangled in my headphones, fell off of the equipment, and broke the machine. That's right - the machine is currently out of order, and my headphones are what's jamming them up. I am awful. I just had to share with someone the absurdity that is me trying to get swoll'. And now, for the Bill. GVOY.

Picture In a Picture

First and foremost: THANKS FOR THE INSANE BIRTHDAY WISHES EVERYONE! Today has made me feel loved in so many ways by so many different people! Y'all are too good to me.

This morning amidst the birthday madness, I opened my inbox to this gem from Ms. Moriah, which I noticed had a fantastic poster of Kramer hanging in the background. It reminded me of the photo I posted of Jerry in his apartment on last night's vlog! I love love love noticing things in the background of photos or on the sets of shows and movies, don't you!?

Happy Birthday to Me
